Hello friends, it’s Auntie Maple — and oh my, what a weekend we just had!

Opening Day at Maple Ski Ridge never loses its sparkle, but this year felt extra special. The moment those first chairs started turning and the first happy shouts echoed across the hill, I knew it right away: winter is officially back, and so is our favorite time of year.
The slopes were buzzing with energy — familiar faces bundled up in their season’s best, little ones wobbling through their first turns, families laughing, instructors high-fiving students, and that crisp winter air we’ve all been craving settling back over the Ridge. I swear the mountain itself seemed to breathe a happy sigh, finally waking up after its long summer nap.
There’s a certain magic about Opening Day. It’s the promise of months of fun ahead… early-morning corduroy, glowing night skiing, cocoa breaks, chairlift chats, and the kind of joy you just can’t find anywhere but on snow. It felt good — really good — to be back.
And speaking of the season ahead: Lesson registrations close December 15.
If you’ve been thinking about signing up (or signing your kids up), now’s the moment. Our programs are filling quickly, and once registration closes, we won’t be adding any more spots. Lessons are the best way to start the season with confidence, and we’d love to see you out there learning, laughing, and growing with us.
Winter came home to Maple this weekend… and I can’t wait to spend it with all of you.
See you on the snow,
Auntie Maple
