Calling all 12, 13, and 14-year-old's who are interested in teaching skiing in the future!!

Participants must be level 6 or 7 skiers (making parallel turns). This program is through PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors of America) and earns them national recognition as a Junior Instructor. Earning this recognition develops important career skills such as public speaking, instruction, dedication, discipline, professionalism, communication, and management of group dynamics. This program also opens doors to jobs in the outdoor industry, makes them better skiers, keeps them fit all winter long, and connects your child with others who share the same passion for skiing.

Your child will train with our PSIA Certified Instructors and Trainers from 9: 00 AM - 11:00 AM. The junior instructor will also have to shadow 6 hours of classes taught by a Level I or higher instructor at other times during the season. These times will be emailed to the parent after December 26th, 2023. Our fee includes the $25 participant fee to be paid to PSIA.

This program also comes with a full access season pass at Maple Ski Ridge ($379 value) so that they may practice their skills or complete their shadow hours at their convenience. Rental equipment is not included in the original price. Seasonal rentals can be added for an additional fee.

There are 8 available spots on Saturday and 8 on Sunday! Come and learn to LOVE winter as much as we do!

Successful completion of this course earns a PSIA certificate and a PSIA Junior Instructor pin. All course graduates are guaranteed an instructor position at Maple Ski Ridge the following season if they are at least 14 years of age by November 15th, 2024.
