What I love about Fall Fest...

Hello friends! It’s your snow-loving Auntie Maple, and while I usually write to you about skiing and winter fun, today I’m here to let you in on a little secret… Maple Ski Ridge isn’t just magical in the winter. It’s absolutely delightful in the fall too!

Every year, we host our Fall Fest—a day packed with family fun, crisp autumn air, and enough activities to keep every kid, parent, and grandparent smiling from start to finish. If you’ve never joined us before, let me tell you why you should grab your flannel, gather the family, and head our way this season.

1. Classic Fall Fun for Kids (and the Young at Heart)

From pumpkin painting to bounce houses, the kids will

have a blast. Trust me, nothing warms my heart more than seeing little ones show off their creative side while painting pumpkins or laughing their way through games and activities. It’s the perfect chance for kids to run, play, and soak up that autumn sunshine.

2. Hayrides & Foliage Views

There’s something special about climbing aboard a hay wagon and taking in the golden fall colors. And for a different perspective, don’t miss our chairlift rides—it’s a fun way to see Maple Ski Ridge in all its autumn glory without needing skis on your feet!

This year’s Fall Fest is extra meaningful because proceeds from our silent auction go to support the Schenectady Firefighter’s Cancer Foundation. When you bring your family to Fall Fest, you’re not just making memories—you’re giving back to local heroes in our community.

4. Delicious Food & Great Tunes

What’s a festival without great food? Local food vendors will be serving up tasty favorites, and for the grown-ups, we’ve got craft beer from Back Barn Brewing. Add in a lively DJ keeping the energy up, and you’ve got the recipe for a perfect fall day.

5. Antique Car Show

Car lovers—this one’s for you! Our antique car show is always a crowd favorite. Stroll through rows of beautifully restored classics and chat with the proud owners who love sharing the history behind their wheels.

6. Craft & Vendor Fair

Looking for something unique? Our craft and vendor fair is the perfect place to discover handmade treasures and local creations. It’s also a wonderful chance to pick up a few early holiday gifts—think of it as Christmas shopping, but with cider in your hand and leaves crunching under your feet.
