Reports To: Shift Supervisor and Snow School Director
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Age Requirement: 14+
Hours: Part-time or Full Time, Seasonal
Pay Rate: $15/hour
Job Overview:
Ski and Snowboard Instructors have the enviable job of spending their days on the snow. Instructors teach everyone from wee tots to active seniors how to begin their snowsports adventure and how to improve their skiing and snowboarding skills. They are also ambassadors on the mountain to ensure guests have a successful day and will return.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Perform teaching duties relative to experience and certification with children or adults, in both group and private lesson settings.
Attend and participate in training clinics to improve personal skiing and riding skills and develop teaching skills.
Be familiar with lesson options and pricing to continue to promote ski or snowboard development among our current guests.
Ensure the safety of our students and guests during their lessons and their visit to Maple.
Share your love of your snow-sport with our guests.
Skills and Qualifications:
Mature, energetic, dependable, and self-motivated.
Enjoy working outdoors in all kinds of weather.
Must have at least intermediate skills in either skiing or snowboarding.
PSIA/AASI Certifications are a bonus but are completely optional.
Training Requirements:
Must attend all assigned training days before the season starts. (Paid)
Must attend weekend clinic hours before scheduled lessons (Paid).
Must attend a minimum number of weeknight clinic hours throughout the season (Optional bonus).
