Lift Operator
Reports To: Lift Supervisor and Mountain Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Age Requirement: 18+
Hours: Part-time or Full Time, Seasonal
Pay Rate: $15/hour
Job Overview:
Lift Operators, in coordination with the Lift Attendant, work to keep the assigned lift running smoothly and safely for our guests. They spend their days helping customers, of all skill levels, load and unload from lifts, in all kinds of weather. As a result, enjoyment of the outdoors is a must! The job of a lift attendant is critical to the success of any ski operation.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Operate the assigned lift safely and efficiently as trained, following all Maple protocols.
Properly document tasks as per Maple protocols.
Provide physical assistance loading and unloading to guests as required.
Maintain safe loading and unloading environment by shoveling or raking snow and setting up appropriate bamboo fencing.
Be observant of situations that may be dangerous or unsafe for fellow employees and guests.
Alert operations manager or lift supervisor of issues with the lift.
Check tickets and maintain safe crowd control.
Reports customers or employee injuries to lift supervisor immediately.
Skills and Qualifications:
Must enjoy working with the public.
Mature, energetic, dependable, and self-motivated.
Able to reason and react with quick, thoughtful judgment, while remaining calm under pressure.
Capable of performing physical/manual duties such as shoveling, lifting, bending, kneeling etc.
Must be able to lift 50lbs.
Enjoy working outdoors in all kinds of weather.
Training Requirements:
Must attend all assigned training days. (Paid)
