Ready to take your skiing beyond your own turns? Our Junior Instructor Program is designed for strong youth skiers who are interested in learning more about ski instruction, leadership, and what it takes to help others learn on snow.

This program follows the PSIA-AASI Junior Instructor Certificate Program and combines skill development with real-world experience in our Snowsports School.

• For Strong Skiers: Participants must be a Level 6 or 7 skier and comfortable skiing confidently as part of a group.

• Learn to Teach: Students begin looking at skiing from an instructor’s perspective — learning how skills develop, how lessons are structured, and how instructors help new skiers succeed.

• Leadership on Snow: Build communication, responsibility, confidence, and leadership skills while working alongside Maple instructors.

• Real Lesson Experience: PSIA-AASI requirements include on-snow training and time shadowing actual lessons, giving participants the opportunity to see how instructors work with students in a real teaching environment.

• PSIA-AASI Coursework: Participants complete required online learning through PSIA-AASI as part of the Junior Instructor Certificate Program. The fee paid to maple includes the $25 fee paid to PSIA-AASI.
